Catholic Chaplaincy to the Liverpool Universities
Sunday 6pm
MASS
During university term time, we gather as a Chaplaincy community for Holy Mass at 6pm (11am in June) at St Philip Neri Church, raising our voices as one in joyful praise of the Lord. All are welcome, and students are particularly invited to get involved with our ministries during Mass. Afterwards, we have a tea and coffee hour in the Chaplaincy.

Living at philip neri house
The Catholic Chaplaincy has accommodation for up to 5 resident students, in a self contained flat adjacent to the church on Catharine St. There is a well equipped kitchen, sitting room, laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer, separate toilet and shower rooms for male and female residents. A patio door opens from the sitting room to a patio adjacent to the “Spanish Garden”.
Resident students should be students of the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University, or LIPA. They are expected to be actively involved in the life of the chaplaincy. Normally we do not accept students below the second year of their degree programmes, because we want to know them, and give them a chance to know us, and to see how the student house works.
Of course we recognise that resident students have degrees to complete, with many claims on their time, however, residents are considered ‘ambassadors’ for the chaplaincy and the Catholic Society, and its various events. You don’t need to be at everything that goes on here, but we do expect to see you at Sunday Mass, and regularly at weekday events in the chaplaincy. In return, the rent is kept at a very moderate level.
If you are interested, please speak to the chaplain, Fr Neil.
